Office of Competition and Consumer Protection of Poland (UOKiK) began an inspection of CD Projekt concerning the release of Cyberpunk 2077. It was reported by the newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
It is noted that the department will check how many problems the game has and will monitor the implementation of the developer’s promises to fix them.
Also, UOKiK intends to monitor the state of the project on consoles and actions of the studio about the disgruntled owners that can not play on their devices, despite the statements of the manufacturer.
Now the Authority has not ruled out that CD Projekt may be subject to additional measures. They could face a fine of up to 10% of the company’s revenue and compensation to those who pre-ordered the game on consoles in the form of partial monetary compensation.
They also have four class-action lawsuits filed by law firms due to false claims regarding Cyberpunk on consoles.
