Founder of Valve News Network Tyler McVicker reported details of the CS:GO release on Source 2 engine. According to him the game will be released on the new engine within two months.
The current CS:GO version is made on the previous version of Source while Source 2 runs Dota 2 and Half-Life: Alyx. Earlier McVicker announced that Valve is working on Artifact. He said that the update could be released in early 2020. Recently Valve confirmed that it is actively working on the game and will release the news after the release of Half-Life: Alyx.
