Welcome to Raccoon City Trailer

Sony Pictures has just released the first trailer for the fantasy horror film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which will re-launch the media franchise that has been quite popular in the past. Paul Anderson, who has directed six films in the series, has been replaced by a new screenwriter and director Johannes Roberts, noted for the atmospheric horror films “47 Meters Down” and “The Strangers: Prey at Night”.

The first two parts of the game Resident Evil were taken as the basis for the film, so the creators of the new picture clearly decided to return to the origins. According to the plot, Claire Redfield comes to her native Raccoon City to visit her brother Chris at the worst possible moment – the sinister experiments of the Umbrella corporation end with the subjects breaking free, infecting everyone around with a zombie virus.

In addition, the producers managed to attract a number of young, but already well-known actors. Claire Redfield, Robbie Amell and Evan Jogia will play in the film. This greatly increases the success of the film, it remains to wait for the premiere, which is scheduled for November 24, 2021.
